There are various good energy products that can help to optimise your performance and keep you, fitter. These products can be easily carried during sports and adventure activities such as hikes, long runs, and bike rides. They are almost as good as bringing "real food" with you while you are on the move and are also healthy.

Here are some sources of "real food" that are easy to carry along:

Seeds and nuts

If you are in the habit of hitting the gym or exercising for long hours but are of low intensity in nature, it becomes easier the burn your body fat. Additionally, you can become fitter and improve your health. Thus, seeds and nuts are an excellent source of energy while you are on excursions or long training.


They are also easy to carry in your cycle jersey or in a bag. Many cyclists are fond of eating bananas while racing as they have to race for long hours or for several consecutive days. It is also a known fact that a banana is a rich source of potassium and carbohydrates. In addition, they can be easily digested, particularly while on a long exercise session done at moderate intensity like a long ride.

Dried fruits

Dried fruits such as dried bananas are good snacks. It is also possible to purchase or make dried pears, kiwis, apples and other fruits. However, ensure that these fruits do not have added sugar or preservatives.
